So, I finished this lovely little thing last night I believe. According to the pattern it was originally supposed to be somwhere around 17", but due to errors/confusion/a poorly written section that began to confuse me, I decided to finish it off a bit early, since it was already big enough to me anyways. I'll get around to blocking it sometime soon, but it's not in any desperate need at the current moment so I'm not in a rush.
I also made a potholder tonight, I'll take some pictures tomorrow. For the potholder I used two strands of Sugar N Cream yarn held together and a 5.00mm hook, just a simple single crocheted rectangle/square that's about 8" by 7.5". I would have made it an actual square instead of an almost one, but since I was using scraps I ran out of one of the colors of yarn, but I'm satisfied with the results regardless, as it will serve its intended purpose.
I also taught myself to knit, and for practice I've been working on a scrappy "scarf". I didn't have enough yarn to actually make it a scarf though, so for now its going to lay aside in a lonely little strip until I build enough scraps to make another strip, which I will join to slowly make a blanket, probably for my cat. After all, she couldn't care less whether or not its ugly, so long as it's nice and squishy and warm.
My next project is going to be knitting a hat. A little ambitious, yes, but I think I'm about ready to try. I got the basic stitches down and I've figured my way around it pretty well. Pictured to the left is the yarn I'm planning to use. I know some people aren't fans of acrylics, but since I can't keep people from mindlessly throwing things into the washing machines, I'd hate to use anything else for fear of it getting ruined.
That's all I have to say today, I believe! I'll have more updates soon.

Bunny + progress + stash
Finished the bunny I was making for my grandma, pretty happy with how it came out
And for comparasion, here's how it looks sitting next to the previous bunny:
Other than that, I finished my nook case:
Not perfect, but it serves its purpose. I got the sizing perfect too.
Made some progress on my ripple afghan:
And organized my stash
Reasonably productive day

A couple finished things
So last night I finished the stool cover I've been making, I made up the pattern on my own as I went along.
Basically, I made a granny square (almost, since I didnt have quite enough yarn in blue, so I did 2 more rounds on the granny square with red) to cover the top of the stool, then went around it with double crochet. On the first round, I went into 2 loops on every stitch except for in the corners, where I did one DC into each corner space. After that I just did one DC in each DC around until I ran out of yarn, in other words, 3 rounds. If anyone's interested and what I just explained doesn't make sense, don't hesitate to ask me! I'll be glad to try to clarify.
Also, I weaved a little cat pillow thingy
And since I never posted a picture of it, here's the cat bed I made a while ago out of some old tattered sheets.
I don't have much else to say right now, aside from I've made some reasonable progress on the ripple afghan as well:
I'll hopefully have more finished things to talk about soon!

Coasters + stash
So, last night and today I made a few coasters. Still have about 2/3 of the skein left over, so definitely going to make more, but they'll all look like something along the lines of the ones I've already finished. They look a little raggedy, because I just made things up as I went and didn't have the patience to follow a pattern, but they'll do their job just fine regardless.
I've also been building up quite a stash of yarn lately, here's some of it:
Pretty sure there are a few skeins I'm forgetting, but that's the majority of it. Sometime soon I may begin taking pictures of the yarns that aren't dedicated to anything yet, and take a few requests from people for amigurumi or other smaller projects, just to bust some of my stash. Maybe people could send me a few dollars or some small gift or something in return, that'd make my year.

First complete amigurumi project (+others)
So, I decided to make a blogspot blog since I can get a little distracted on Tumblr. I'll use it for my works-in-progress or smaller projects, but for my bigger projects and whatnot I'll post here. :)
To start off, I'll share a bunny I made about a week ago. Didn't take long, maybe 3 - 4 hours of work total. I used this pattern. I'm currently making a second one for my grandma, since she loves stuffed animals.
Considering the fact that it's my very first amigurumi project, I'm happy with it. :) Just need to practice my skills with attaching limbs and whatnot.
While I'm at it, here are some of my other finished projects, so I don't flood anyone who may be reading with old news:
1. A blanket I made for my grandma. My second finished blanket.
2. The blanket I made for my room. It was my first blanket. :)
3. A plarn basket. My first time experimenting with plarn. (Plastic yarn)
4. An infinity scarf, my first finished scarf. Only took an afternoon to make. :)
Not 100% handmade, but I made the bows. Just some customized flip-flops. :) Dorky, but I like them.
As you can see, there are lots of firsts in this post. That's because I've only recently became serious towards learning to crochet after losing interest for a few years shortly after learning. Be aware of more to come. :)
